The Global Payroll Association appoints new Director of Education and Research

The Global Payroll Association (GPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeanette Hibbert as the Association’s new Director of Education and Research.

Jeanette will be responsible for masterminding and developing the GPA’s education offering and ensuring it meets the needs of the global payroll industry. She will undertake global payroll research and keep the community up to date on changes and trends.

The new role was made official at the GPA’s first major event on the morning of Thursday 11 June, where Jeanette revealed details about her new appointment. She commented: “It involves making sure that we are key in the education of our associate members and the global payroll community and that we research to help that community as much as possible to make sure that everything is directed towards our members and it is focused towards their challenges and their needs.

“It’s really exciting as I’ve been in the global payroll industry for nearly a decade and it’s so nice to finally see things come together in terms of offerings for our members. It was not a good environment when I started 10 years ago and there was nothing out there and it’s so exciting to see things coming together.”

Jeanette Hibbert brings a wealth of experience to the GPA and is an acknowledged leader in the global payroll field. As a highly esteemed payroll and HR services consultant, she has lead payroll training for several countries, carried out compliance health checks, reviewed strategic payroll models for a FTSE100 organisations and carried out complete process reviews for large organisations.

She has managed weekly and monthly services for payrolls for over 8,000 employees in the UK and Europe and HR Services for 14,000 employees in EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Jeanette is the technical director and resident payroll expert for Purely Payroll magazine.

Melanie Pizzey, CEO of the GPA said: “We are honoured to welcome Jeanette as a director at the GPA. When it comes to global payroll experience, she is second to none and we look forward to her insight and involvement in honing our training and research to the needs of the global payroll professional.”
